publication date: Nov 10, 2008
National Bank of Canada has announced that its Board of Directors is to swell to 15 in size (including four women), with the appointment of Louise Laflamme. Laflamme has worked in the industry for 35 years, during which time she has occupied a range of positions with a number of companies, particularly in the fields of internal audit and financial management.
She leaves behind Montréal Exchange, where she spent 11 years and worked most recently as executive VP and advisor to the president and CEO, to join National Bank.
Prior to that she worked as chief financial officer with the firm, before which she spent over a decade with accounting firm Raymond, Chabot, Martin, Paré & Associés.
National Bank has welcomed her appointment, which sees her join not only the Board of Directors but also the Audit and Risk Management Committee.
